ABOUT

Yu Chun Lo was born and raised in New Taipei City, Taiwan, currently based in the Netherlands. Lo is interested in how cognition shapes human behaviour, with a particular focus on studying the relationship between human and non-human species. Due to the explicit manner in which humans approach and determine their interactions with specific species, this aspect reveals a more authentic side of human nature.

Lo’s work often involves in-depth exploration of issues through field and archival research, with video, archival materials, and installation being the primary media she employs in her practices.

羅伃君，台灣新北人，現居荷蘭。我對於認知如何主導人類的行為非常感興趣，由於人類基本上毫不掩飾我們對待特定物種並與之互動的方式，使得我特別關注於觀察人與非人物種的關係。這個角度有時候更真實的顯現了人的樣貌。

我經常以田野調查與文獻研究作為創作的開端，透過對比更多不同的視角來思考所有我好奇的事物。錄像、檔案文件與裝置是我主要的創作媒材。
